Pathum Thani, Thailand, 3rd February 2026 – The PATA Thailand Bangkok University Student Chapter hosted Global Tourism and Hospitality: Discovery and Recruitment on 3 February 2026 at Room 508, Auditorium Room, 5th Floor, C6 Building, Bangkok University International (BUI). The full-day event focused on industry discovery, career development, and internship recruitment, bringing together students and leading global partners from the tourism and hospitality sector.
Event Description
The event was designed particularly for second- and third-year students who are preparing to undertake internships and seeking career opportunities in the tourism and hospitality industry. The programme aimed to provide industry insights, professional guidance, and direct recruitment opportunities to help students prepare for their future careers.
The event commenced with welcoming and opening remarks by Assistant Professor Dr. Duangthida Nunyhapirat, Assistant to the President and Acting Dean of Bangkok University International Program. She emphasized the importance of industry engagement, professional readiness, and continuous development for students entering a competitive global workforce.
The keynote speaker session featured distinguished leaders from the tourism and hospitality industry.
The first keynote speaker, Mr. Noor Ahmad Hamid, CEO of the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), shared insights on promoting sustainable tourism in Asia. He spoke about his professional journey, leadership experience, and the role of PATA in shaping responsible tourism development across the region. His session inspired students to consider sustainability as a core value in their future careers.
The second keynote speaker, Ms. Orachon Wonhpan Ngam, Director of the MICE Capabilities Development Department, introduced students to the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions) industry. She highlighted its strong growth potential, competitive salary opportunities, and its role as a gateway to international career advancement. Her session encouraged students to explore emerging sectors within tourism beyond traditional pathways.
The final keynote speaker, Mr. Patom Siriwattaparyoon, CEO of PCL Hospitality, provided professional advice on career development within the hospitality industry. He discussed real-world challenges that students may encounter, industry expectations, and practical guidance for building resilience, professionalism, and long-term career success.
Following the keynote sessions, the event continued with a panel discussion focusing on career development, recruitment trends, and future talent demands within the industry. The panel featured three industry professionals:

The event concluded with a presentation of appreciation gifts to the keynote speakers, panelists, and escorts, marking the successful completion of the programme.
