International Youth Day 2025
Punjab, India, 12 August 2025 – PATA India Chandigarh University Student Chapter organized an expert talk and cultural activities to celebrate International Youth Day 2025 with the theme of empowering young voices for social change.
Overview: The event was organized to mark International Youth Day and highlight the role of young people in shaping a healthier and stronger society. The program featured an expert talk on “Voice for Change: A Drug-Free Youth”, followed by a role play by PATA Student Chapter members on “Youth: The Power of Today.” A special badge ceremony was also conducted to felicitate PATA Student Chapter members. The initiative aimed to inspire students to recognize their potential, lead by example, and contribute to a positive and drug-free society.
Highlights of the Session:
Introduction: The session commenced with welcoming remarks by Ms. Harjot Kaur, Faculty Advisor of PATA ICUSC, who introduced the theme of the day.
Event Host: Mr. Mukul Rampal, Chairperson of PATA ICUSC, served as the host for the event, ensuring a smooth flow of activities.
Expert Talk: An impactful talk on “Voice for Change: A Drug-Free Youth” was delivered, emphasizing the need for collective youth action against drug abuse and encouraging healthy, responsible lifestyle choices.
Role Play Performance: PATA Student Chapter members presented a role play titled “Youth: The Power of Today,” showcasing the transformative role of young people in driving social change and nation-building.
Badge Ceremony: Badges were distributed to PATA Student Chapter members, recognizing their dedication and contributions. This moment instilled a sense of pride and responsibility among the students.
Interactive Engagement: The event encouraged active interaction, with participants engaging in thought-provoking discussions and appreciating the creative performances.
Media Coverage: The media team documented the event through photographs, capturing the highlights and key moments.
Participation:
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty. The interactive sessions created an open platform for discussion, enabling participants to reflect on their responsibilities as youth leaders. Attendees expressed appreciation for the timely theme and acknowledged the importance of youth-driven initiatives in addressing societal challenges like drug abuse

The event fostered awareness among students about the dangers of drug abuse and emphasized the power of collective youth action.
