PATA Malaysia Taylor’s Student Chapter Elects New Executive Committee for Term 25/26
Subang Jaya, Malaysia, 23rd April 2025 - PATA Malaysia Taylor's Student Chapter (PATA MTSC) conducted its Term 25/26 leadership election on 23rd April 2025 at Taylor's University, Subang Jaya. Approximately 30 members gathered to elect the chapter's new Executive Committee.
The election was held at the Tourism Innovation Lab D1.02, Taylor's University, and was moderated by the chapter's faculty advisor, Dr. Thanam Subramaniam of the School of Hospitality, Tourism and Events. The session brought together members of PATA MTSC to formally determine the leadership team that will guide the chapter throughout Term 25/26.
The election was conducted through a physical voting process. Each candidate delivered a speech to the assembled members, sharing their goals and plans for the role they were contesting. Members then cast their votes to decide the composition of the new committee. The process gave members a direct voice in shaping the direction of the chapter for the coming term.
The newly elected Executive Committee for Term 25/26 comprises 13 members representing seven countries:

Assistant Head of Marketing: Aminath Malha Rameez (Maldives)
Head of Newsletter: Virginia Claudya Candra (Indonesia)

Head of Alumni: Fathimath Zoya Azmeel (Maldives)
The diversity of the committee reflects the international character of Taylor's University and the chapter's role as a platform that brings together students from across the region.
With its new committee in place, PATA MTSC is set to begin a productive term focused on delivering events and initiatives that develop its members as future tourism professionals. The chapter thanks all members who participated in the election and looks forward to the contributions of the new leadership team in advancing sustainable and responsible tourism in line with the values of PATA.
