PATA Thailand Bangkok University Student Chapter Podcast Season 5
Bangkok, Thailand, 15 November 2025 – Podcast Season 5 was organized by the PATA Thailand Bangkok University Student Chapter as part of its continuous initiative to create educational and industry-related media content for students. This season mainly focused on the hospitality industry and aimed to provide students with insights into career development, academic-to-professional transition, and mental well-being in hospitality environments. The project emphasized teamwork, creativity, and communication while giving members hands-on experience in podcast production and digital media management. Podcast episodes were released every two weeks, ensuring consistent engagement with the audience and a structured content schedule.
Team Structure and Responsibilities
The Student Chapter operated with two separate teams: the Research Team and the Podcast Team. Each team had distinct roles and responsibilities. The Research Team was responsible for identifying relevant topics, preparing written
content, designing informative graphics, and publishing educational posts on social media. Their work focused on raising awareness and sharing knowledge related to tourism, hospitality, and sustainability through visual and written formats. The Research Team did not take part in podcast production. The Podcast Team was solely responsible for Podcast Season 5. A total of 12 members were involved in podcast production. All members collaborated closely to ensure the successful delivery of each episode.
The Podcast Team was structured as follows:
● Four MCs, who worked in pairs to prepare the scripts and moderate discussions.
● Three members in the Shooting Team, responsible for video recording, camera setup, and technical arrangements.
● Five members in the Editing Team, responsible for video editing, sound quality, visual effects, and final production.
All members of the Podcast Team participated together in brainstorming sessions to decide the episode topics. This collective decision-making process ensured that the content reflected shared interests and addressed relevant issues in the hospitality industry.
Project Overview
Podcast Season 5 was conducted from late September to November 2025. The team published one episode every two weeks, resulting in a total of three episodes for the season. The overall theme of the season was hospitality, with each episode addressing
different dimensions of the industry.
The podcast aimed to:
● Increase awareness of career opportunities in hospitality
● Bridge the gap between academic learning and professional practice
● Promote mental health awareness in hospitality environments
● Develop students’ skills in communication, teamwork, and content creation
Episode Themes
Podcast Season 5 consisted of three episodes:
The first episode, “Career in the Hospitality Industry Today,” explored current career opportunities and trends in the hospitality sector. It discussed industry expectations and how students can prepare themselves for professional roles in a rapidly changing
environment.
The second episode, “From Classroom to Career,” focused on the transition from academic life to professional work. It emphasized the importance of practical experience, skill development, and professional mindset in preparing for future careers.
The third episode, “Hospitality and Mental Health,” highlighted the importance of mental well-being within the hospitality industry. It encouraged awareness of stress management, emotional resilience, and maintaining a healthy balance between personal
life and professional responsibilities. Together, these three episodes provided a comprehensive understanding of hospitality from professional, educational, and personal well-being perspectives.
Content Creation Process
Topic selection was done collaboratively by all members of the Podcast Team through group brainstorming sessions. This allowed every member to contribute ideas and ensured that the topics were relevant, meaningful, and aligned with the season’s
hospitality theme. Script preparation was handled by the MCs, who worked in pairs. Each pair developed structured discussion points, guiding questions, and key messages for the episodes. This approach strengthened teamwork and ensured consistency in content delivery. The Shooting Team managed the filming process, including technical setup, lighting, camera operation, and recording quality. Their work ensured professional visual and audio standards.
The Editing Team handled post-production, including video cutting, sound adjustment, subtitles, and visual enhancements. They were responsible for producing the final versions suitable for publication on all platforms.
