PATA x SKAL Christmas Charity Gala Dinner 2025
Bangkok, Thailand, 4 December 2025 – The PATA Thailand Bangkok University Student Chapter was privileged to take part in the PATA x SKAL Annual Christmas Charity Gala Dinner 2025, which took place at the Crowne Plaza Bangkok. This event brought together esteemed guests, industry leaders, and members of the association to share the joy of the festive season while contributing to worthwhile charitable causes for the tourism and hospitality industry.
Event Description
The PATA Thailand Bangkok University Student Chapter was actively involved in the event as volunteer staff members to assist with event operations and guest engagement throughout the evening. The students played an important role in ensuring the smooth operation of activities, guest reception, and support for event organizers during the program.
One of the key roles of the PATA Thailand Bangkok University Student Chapter was to assist in the sales of charity lottery tickets as part of the event’s lucky draw program. Student volunteers were responsible for selling charity lottery tickets to distinguished guests who attended the gala dinner, encouraging them to take part in fundraising activities while engaging with industry professionals in a professional and service-oriented manner.
The charity lottery sales proceeds were channeled to support worthwhile social causes, such as the Good Shepherd Sisters Foundation, which is involved in community welfare and social support programs. A portion of the sales proceeds was also allocated to support the development of PATA Student Chapters, which enables student members to take part in international educational and professional programs.
These contributions will help students take part in international programs and conferences, such as RAYS 2025 in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia, which will give them excellent exposure to international tourism networks, knowledge exchange, and leadership training.
Apart from fundraising, the gala dinner provided students with a great opportunity to network with industry leaders, association members, and professionals, which will help to build stronger ties between academia and the tourism industry. The event ambience portrayed generosity, teamwork, and a sense of community, which embodies the principles of responsible and sustainable tourism development.
