From the Mediterranean coastline to hidden mountain villages and buzzing city streets, Türkiye is packed with places that will surprise and inspire you.  While there is much to explore throughout Türkiye, we’ve handpicked these regions—Antalya, İstanbul, Fethiye and Bodrum in Muğla, and Cappadocia, as they offer a diverse combination of stunning landscapes, historical significance, and unique experiences that highlight the country’s wide range of attractions.

🌤️ When’s the best time to go?

The best time to visit Türkiye really depends on the type of experience you’re looking for. Here’s a quick guide:

Summer (July to August):  If you're looking to hit the beaches and enjoy water activities, summer is the ideal time. The coastal areas like Bodrum, Fethiye, and Antalya are perfect for soaking up the sun and indulging in water sports. Head to Turgutreis Bay or Göltürkbükü for beachside relaxation, or visit Ölüdeniz for an unforgettable paragliding experience. Inland temperatures can get quite hot, so beach and water-based activities are the perfect way to stay cool. For some adventure, try rafting in Köprülü Canyon or cool off in the refreshing waters of Saklıkent Canyon.

Spring (April to June): This is one of the best times to visit for pleasant temperatures, beautiful blooming flowers, and fewer crowds. Perfect for exploring destinations like Cappadocia, where you can enjoy hiking through its surreal rock formations and take a hot air balloon ride. Antalya is also ideal during spring for exploring ancient ruins like Perge and Termessos, as well as enjoying scenic spots like Köprülü Canyon. The Lycian Way near Fethiye offers great hiking opportunities amidst wildflowers and stunning views.

Autumn (September to November): Fall is another fantastic time for travel, with mild weather and vibrant landscapes, making it perfect for hiking, exploring ancient cities, and cruising the Mediterranean or Aegean coasts. Cappadocia's rock valleys, such as Red Valley and Güllüdere Valley, glow beautifully during autumn sunsets. The weather is still warm enough for beach visits to places like Konyaaltı Beach and Lara Beach in Antalya, but without the intense summer heat. Göcek and the nearby Butterfly Valley in Fethiye also offer a peaceful escape.

Winter (December to March): If you're after a quieter experience, winter can be ideal for exploring destinations with fewer tourists. Visit Cappadocia to experience the magical sight of snow-capped fairy chimneys and explore its underground cities in the tranquil winter atmosphere. İstanbul, with its fascinating historical sites like the Topkapı Palace and Basilica Cistern, is much quieter in winter. For those interested in history, Perge and Aspendos near Antalya are excellent places to explore during the off-season.
