Azra Fasiha binti Nazari

Azra Fasiha binti Nazari is a final-year Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Event and Tourism Management student at UCSI University Sarawak Campus, and she is currently pursuing her internship with Business Events Sarawak (BESarawak). As a full scholarship recipient under the UCSI University Trust Scholarship, She has been fortunate to dedicate herself fully to her academic journey, maintaining a strong academic record and being a Dean’s List recipient for every semester throughout her studies. Along the way, she has been honoured with the Outstanding Student Award from the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management (FHTM), the Aurora Excellence Award, and the Outstanding Youth Ambassador Recognition by the Regional Centre of Expertise (RCE) Kuching and UCSI University for her involvement in youth and community initiatives.
Through various leadership roles, she had the opportunity to work with amazing individuals and create meaningful experiences for others. In 2025, Azra served as the President of the Tourism and Events Enterprise Club (TEEC), after previously serving as Secretary in 2023 and Committee Member in 2024. These experiences allowed her to collaborate with students, lecturers, and industry partners while developing her leadership, teamwork, and event management skills.
One of the highlights of her university journey has been being able to step onto the stage not only as a participant but also as a storyteller and facilitator. She had the privilege of serving as master of ceremony for various university and international events, including the Dean’s List Award Ceremony, MOU Signing Ceremony and Gala Dinner with Japuria School of Business, India, the 3rd Education in Hospitality and Tourism Forum (EHTF) and 1st Asia Pacific Summit for Event Leaders (APSEL), the Town Hall Session with YB Datuk Tan Sri Mustapha Sakmud, Deputy Minister of Higher Education Malaysia, and the UCSI Group Acceleration Roadmap 2026–2036 Gala Dinner. These experiences have allowed her to connect with diverse audiences and strengthen her confidence in communication, public speaking, and stakeholder engagement.
Beyond the university campus, Azra has contributed to various community and sustainability initiatives, including leading the UCSI Beach Clean-Up Initiative and the Community Service Programme at Khlong Hae Floating Market, Hat Yai,Thailand. She was also involved as Vice Project Leader and Emcee for the Bright Minds, Green Actions & Back-to-School Support Programme, a volunteer for the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Training Workshop, and a Youth Buddy Volunteer for the eMpowering Youths Across ASEAN: Youth EdXchange Programme. Her passion for sustainability and youth development was further recognised through achieving Second Place in both the Youth EdXchange Ideathon Competition and the Sustainovation Challenge in Hat Yai, Thailand.
As Azra continue her journey with internship at Business Events Sarawak (BESarawak) she look forward to learning, connecting, and contributing to the tourism and business events industry while carrying the values and experiences she has gained throughout her time at UCSI University.
