Mandy Chen
Co-Founder, Landik Co.
Mandy Chen is the co-founder of a Sarawak based award-winning social enterprise, Landik (Borneo Inspires Legacy Awards). Her social enterprise is dedicated to empowering senior citizens through traditional crafts while preserving the state’s rich cultural heritage. Working alongside elderly artisans, Landik creates meaningful opportunities for them to earn sustainable income, share their skills, and continue practising crafts that might otherwise be lost.
Believing that culture is best preserved when it is lived and shared, Mandy has led initiatives that bring together seniors, youth, businesses, and communities through craft workshops, handcrafted products, and collaborative programmes. Her work explores how heritage can become a catalyst for meaningful ageing, social inclusion, and community resilience, ensuring that traditional knowledge remains relevant for future generations.
Mandy has represented Sarawak at regional and international platforms, including the ASEAN Youth Dialogue and the Social Enterprise World Forum. Through Landik, she continues to champion community-led innovation that creates lasting social impact while celebrating the people and stories behind Sarawak’s living heritage.
