Vera Chin

Founder & CEO, Bee Gastronomy

Vera Chin is a hospitality entrepreneur, culinary strategist, and educator with over 20 years of international experience across Malaysia, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and the United States. As the Chief Executive Officer of Bee Gastronomy Group (BORA), she leads initiatives spanning food innovation, hospitality experiences, culinary education, sustainability, and event management.

Holding an MBA with Distinction and a First Class Honours Degree in Culinary Arts from the United Kingdom, Vera combines business strategy with culinary excellence to develop impactful industry-driven projects. Her work focuses on nurturing future hospitality professionals, strengthening industry collaboration, and promoting Sarawak’s culinary identity through innovation and entrepreneurship.

Vera currently serves as the Organising Chairperson of the Sarawak International Culinary Challenge (SICC) 2026 and is a Mentor and Instructor for the SAGO 2026 Incubator Programme. Since 2019, she has been invited to judge numerous international culinary and cake competitions. Throughout her career, she has worked alongside members of the British Royal Household culinary team, and has been recognised internationally as an award-winning cake artist and featured speaker on global platforms.

Passionate about developing the next generation of industry leaders, Vera actively advocates for stronger collaboration between education and industry to shape the future of tourism, hospitality, and gastronomy.
