Industrial Visit to Domaine Sula & Mysore Palace
Mysuru, Karnataka, 25th June 2026 - The PATA India CHRIST University Student Chapter, in collaboration with the Department of Tourism Management, organized an Industrial Visit to Domaine Sula and Mysore Palace to provide students with experiential exposure to two significant segments of tourism: wine tourism and heritage tourism. The visit enabled participants to understand tourism operations from both a commercial and cultural perspective while connecting classroom concepts with industry practices.
The first segment of the visit was conducted at Domaine Sula, where students gained insights into the functioning of one of India’s leading wine tourism destinations. Through guided interactions, participants learned about vineyard operations, grape cultivation, wine production processes, quality control measures, sustainable practices, branding strategies, and visitor experience management. The visit demonstrated how agriculture, hospitality, manufacturing, and tourism can be integrated into a successful tourism enterprise.
The second segment focused on Mysore Palace, one of India’s most iconic heritage attractions. Students explored the historical significance of the palace, its architectural grandeur, and its role as a major cultural tourism destination. The visit also provided valuable insights into heritage conservation, destination interpretation, visitor management systems, and the preservation of cultural assets for future generations.
The industrial visit offered participants a comprehensive understanding of how tourism operates across different sectors. Students developed knowledge of sustainable tourism practices, heritage management, visitor experience design, and destination operations. The experience highlighted the economic, cultural, and educational value of tourism while fostering a deeper appreciation for responsible destination management.
The visit successfully bridged academic learning with real-world industry exposure, strengthening students’ understanding of tourism enterprises, cultural heritage preservation, and experiential tourism development. It served as a valuable platform for enhancing professional knowledge and preparing future tourism professionals for diverse sectors within the industry.
