PATA India Chandigarh University Student Chapter Empowers Local Youth Through Book Donation Drive
PUNJAB, INDIA, August 10th 2026, Demonstrating a steadfast commitment to social responsibility and sustainable community growth, the PATA India Chandigarh University Student Chapter recently organized an impactful Book Donation Drive at the Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Kurali, Punjab, as part of the celebration of International Youth Day.
Designed to support young learners in their educational journeys as part of SDG 4: Quality Education, the drive aimed to nurture reading habits, enhance access to learning materials, and foster a supportive environment for local students.
Enriching Classrooms and Inspiring Young Minds
The initiative brought together the PATA Student members who actively collected, curated, and distributed a diverse range of books and educational resources. Beyond simply handing over materials, the Chapter members prioritized personal engagement.
During the visit, the members spent quality time interacting with both students and teachers, discussing their role as youth, promoting the importance of gaining knowledge, and encouraging the youth to pursue continuous learning. These interactions helped create a vibrant, engaging atmosphere while forging strong, memorable bonds between the university and the local school community.
Highlights of the Initiative
Resource Distribution: Donated a curated collection of books and learning materials to enrich the school’s academic resources.
Learning through Activities: Held fun game sessions where the members engaged with the students while also promoting tourist destinations in India.

Community Connection: Established a meaningful bridge between higher education student leaders and primary school learners.

This project reflects the core mission of PATA’s youth network—empowering the next generation of leaders to drive positive change beyond the classroom.
