Research and Knowledge Sharing Initiative on Sustainable Tourism and Hospitality 2026

Project Introduction

The PATA Thailand Bangkok University Student Chapter launched the Research and Knowledge Sharing Initiative as part of its commitment to promoting sustainable tourism, hospitality education, and awareness of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through research-based social media content, the initiative aimed to bridge academic knowledge, industry trends, and sustainability concepts, making them accessible and engaging for students, young professionals, and the wider community.

Recognizing the growing importance of responsible tourism and sustainable development, the project focused on creating educational content that encourages critical thinking, professional growth, and positive behavioral change. By transforming research findings into concise and visually engaging content, the Research Team sought to inspire audiences to become more informed and responsible tourism stakeholders.

Team Structure and Responsibilities

The project was managed by the Research Team, consisting of eight dedicated members who collaborated throughout the semester to develop educational content related to tourism, hospitality, and sustainability.

At the beginning of each semester, team members collectively discuss and identify priority SDGs and research themes that align with current industry trends and global sustainability challenges. Following the planning phase, responsibilities are divided among members through a rotational system to ensure equal participation and skill development.

The content creation process follows three main stages:

1. Research - Gathering information from academic literature, industry reports, and credible sources. 2. Caption Development - Transforming research findings into educational and engaging written content. 3. Poster Design - Creating visually appealing graphics to effectively communicate key messages.

Through this collaborative workflow, members develop research, communication, critical thinking, and content creation skills while contributing to the chapter’s educational mission.

Project Overview

Throughout the project period, the Research Team successfully produced and published a series of educational content pieces focusing on sustainability, tourism, and hospitality-related topics. The initiative aimed to provide informative insights while encouraging audiences to reflect on current industry developments and their personal role in creating a more sustainable future.

The project utilized social media as a platform for knowledge sharing, allowing the chapter to engage students and the public through accessible and relevant educational content.
