Taylor's Clubs and Societies Festival April 2026

Subang Jaya, Malaysia, 30th April 2026 – PATA Malaysia Taylor's Student Chapter (PATA MTSC) hosted a one day booth at the Clubs and Societies Festival on 30th April 2026 at Taylor's University Lakeside Campus, engaging students with two interactive travel themed games to promote tourism and chapter membership.

The Clubs and Societies (CnS) Festival is a recurring event organised by Taylor's Orientation Leaders for freshmen and existing students to explore the clubs, societies, and student bodies available at Taylor's University. The festival was held across the Arcadia and Bellevue venues, with PATA MTSC operating its booth at Arcadia Booth 9 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., themed around the festival's Retro Rush: Arcade Fest concept. The booth was designed to introduce visitors to PATA MTSC and the global PATA network through two short interactive games that could be completed in under a minute.

The booth featured two travel themed games. In Pack Your Bag, visitors were given 30 seconds to grab items from a pile of cards and toss them into a prop suitcase, choosing between genuine travel essentials such as a passport, sunscreen, and local currency, and deliberately wrong items including a toaster, a pet cat, and a 10 kilogram bag of rice. After each round, the booth representative revealed the correct picks. In Flag or Fake?, visitors were shown five cards one at a time and had to shout "REAL" or "FAKE" depending on whether each was a real Asian country flag or a fabricated one. The 30 second round closed with the booth representative confirming the correct answers. Prizes were given to visitors who participated in either game, and QR codes displayed at the booth directed interested students to PATA MTSC's social media pages. Students keen on joining PATA MTSC signed up through the universal registration form managed by Taylor's Orientation Leaders, with details shared with the chapter following the event.

The booth was led by President Iyaan as project manager, with Head of Recruitment Kai Shen and Assistant Head of Recruitment Zaara serving as assistant project managers. Head of Marketing Maria took charge of booth design. The booth attracted strong engagement throughout the day, giving the team direct conversations with Taylor's University students from a wide range of programmes. The event aligned with SDG 4 on Quality Education and SDG 17 on Partnerships for the Goals by raising awareness of tourism and hospitality as a career pathway and strengthening the chapter's connections within the wider Taylor's University student community.

Special thanks to all the booth representatives, Hikari, Zaara, Idham, Aayush, Ali, Kai Shen, Iyaan, Arwa, and Maria, for their time and energy in delivering a successful day at the festival. PATA MTSC also thanks Taylor's Orientation Leaders for organising the CnS Festival and providing the chapter with the opportunity to engage with the wider student community. The chapter looks forward to welcoming new members who expressed interest in joining PATA MTSC throughout the term.
