To highlight commitment to human capital development, PATA annually presents a special award and prize to an exceptional ‘rising star’ in the industry. All recipients of this prestigious award have exhibited initiative and leadership in the advancement of tourism as well as demonstrating commitment to the sustainable development of the Asia Pacific travel industry in line with PATA’s mission. This award is known as the PATA Face of the Future.

The roundtable discussion serves the PATA Student Chapter community by bringing student chapters from around the world together to share their passion projects and debate best practices.

As an interconnected and interdependent global community, we only have 9 years left to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Achieving these goals will require an unprecedented mobilization of the energy and skills of the youth, so this workshop is focused on scaling up your impact, challenging you to design projects specifically for your local communities and generating actionable outcomes.

This session is the perfect opportunity for the PATA Youth to learn from today's industry leaders but, just as equally important, the chance for industry leaders to listen to the future of the industry – the youth themselves. The mentorship session is designed to facilitate conversations and meaningful connections, making future collaborations within the community possible.

With domestic tourism opening up in many destinations in the region and borders slowly re-opening, current data and trends are already providing early indications on the outlook of travel and tourism as we head into 2021. Join us for this hybrid event to gain the latest insights into the current trends shaping the recovery of travel and tourism in the region.
